With a name like Prarthana (which means Prayer in Hindi), 'prayer' is something I tend to think about often. It is one of those things that transcends most religious, and cultural barriers. Most people have no issues praying for the more generic, widespread things - like World Peace, Hunger relief, End to Poverty, Healing for the sick (both personal, and general in this case) etc. Some go a step further and pray for more specific things - Job security, better housing, a promotion, good grades etc. The truly spiritual will pray for even more specific, truly personal things - That God's Will is done, Spiritual growth, supporting missions, etc. All of the above are good, noble prayers and as Christians, should be part of our prayer life. My Journal. I don't really have much to say at the moment. But this journal is a good thing. Because I always have something to say. And as you grow older I think there's a part of you that suppresses the part that always wants to say something. Kind of like an extended version of our conscience - as this not only makes you feel guilty when you're considering doing something bad but it also makes you feel like it's not your place to always speak your mind. Why? because someone might just get offended by what you say. My Top 8 Pet Peeves of Spoken (Indian) English

There are many misconceptions in the world regarding English and the proficiency with which it is spoken in India. The Indian Accent is one of the most popularly imitated fake accents; of course most Indians don't speak with the stereotypical 'Indian Accent' as shown on television shows and movies. Actually there are many many many fluent English speakers in India, as it is one of our official languages. We're pretty good at understanding multiple accents as well (because of the diversity in India). But that doesn't mean that the English spoken in India is always grammatically accurate, or that words are pronounced using an appropriate phonetic system.
